Who we are
This website is the community home of the South Bay Lovable Meetup — a friendly group of people building with AI across San Jose, Santa Clara, Mountain View and the rest of the South Bay. It is built and managed by Lovable Ambassador J. Michelle Maraj. It is not an official Lovable site and the content here does not represent Lovable. For any privacy question or request, use the contact form on our Get involved page.
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us:
- Newsletter signups. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address so we can send you meetup announcements.
- Contact and get-involved messages. If you use the contact form, we store your name, email address, the reason you reached out, your message and — if you attach one — the screenshot you upload.
- Project submissions. If you submit a project to be featured, we store the details and images you provide so we can review and publish it.
We do not require an account to use this site, and we do not collect payment information.
How we use your information
- To send you the newsletter you asked for.
- To respond to your message or project submission.
- To run the meetup group — announcing events, sharing recaps and featuring member projects.
We never sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it with third parties for advertising.
RSVP links and third-party events
Event RSVPs on this site link out to external platforms (such as Luma or Meetup). When you RSVP, those platforms' own privacy policies apply — we don't receive or control your registration details there.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Site administrators sign in to a private management area with a session cookie, but that never applies to visitors.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information only as long as it's useful for the purposes above. You can ask us to remove your email from the newsletter list, delete your contact message, or take down a project screenshot at any time — just reach out via the Get involved page and we'll take care of it.
How your data is protected
Your information is stored in a managed cloud database with row-level access controls, so it can only be read by the site's administrators. Uploaded images are stored privately and served only through this site. Admin access is password-protected and limited to the site organizers.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date above.
